Arancini di riso
They look fantastic, but fiddly to make. Although I'd do my own for a special meal - are there any ready-made versions worth the name?

youd be wanting the spinach/chard and ricotta pie then which can be made a day or so in advance and then warmed up in the oven

and probably a roast lamb leg with tons of rosemary and garlic

Arancini di riso - balls of rice, filled with a filling, rolled in breadcrumbs, and fried until golden. Street food of the highest order, and as infinitely variable as the fillings that go into them.
I was gonna suggest this but infortunately I am too late.

Just a note: we're not doing the catering ourselves (much as I would love to, we're not allowed). If I was doing it, I might well do arancini (especially as they're Sicilian and we got engaged in Sicily :) ). But I'm not sure if I trust a caterer to do them properly. :(

Arancini. I was in South Eastern Sicily earlier in the year, and they kept bringing plates of these ricey battered meatbally things. Very nice. Tried to rermember the name, but 'ricey meatbally thing' doesn't google too well.
