Magazine title?

Perhaps it should be called International Brigade for international sales (I am assuming Attica will take it to Palestine with him next time he leads a brigade out there) but have a different name for domestic circulation?

Obviously Up and Attica would attract the attention of Attica's personal fans, but I can't help feeling a name needs to be found that shows the magazine's political leanings, and exactly where Attica is coming from.

How about Left Buttock?

What about Take A Brick?

It is your mag and we're interested in your lives. Love and betrayal. Loss and sin.

Every week Take a Brick is enjoyed by 3.2m Anarchists and 500,000 libertarian socialists, a readership which puts all others in the shade. It has won nine awards from the British Society of Anarchist Magazine Editors and we like to think of it as a community which speaks up for ordinary Anarchists, of all ages. We have lots of puzzles and competitions offering cash prizes, holidays and cars as well as pages on health and relationships, fashion and beauty, cookery and household tips.

We hope you love reading it as much as we love putting it together.

UK's No 1 Anarchist's mag • UK's No 1 true-life mag • World's No 1 true-life weekly

Or maybe you could come to an arrangement with the owners of The People's Friend?

Readers frequently tell us how they like to sit back and relax with their "Friend" and always feel the better afterwards for having read it. And with your help, that's the way we aim to keep it.

It also will be a project with an aim not unlike Communist Refoundation in Italy, and that is to refound the thinking and doing working class movement.
What's that?

Not sure what you're talkin' 'bout, kyser_soze
'twas i who quickly cobbled together those 2 example frontpages for 'no statesmen' because consensus of opinion from those I recognise as having anarchist ideology on this thread preferred that title best.

Yes, what is 'that', Attica - not sure I understand your vision here - your project has communist ideology at it's roots? I thought you were an anarchist. Can you explain further

I want to help refound a libertarian thinking and doing working class movement, what that becomes depends upon the cycles of struggle that emerge. I do not think any of this is contraversial. Twats like Paul Marsh think his bakers dozen in Class War are it alone (hahahahahaha) and this obviously isn't enough. Others in the AF do nothing other than recreate the organisation that does nothing, or Libcom which does nothing other than talk about it. Obviously some new theory and practice, praxis, is needed.

Paul - you're a boy in a big peoples world, you haven't got the knowledge to lead a boy scout troop let alone CLass War. GO back to your wankers monthly...

I think Jarvis Cocker might sue.
Class War used the Campaign for Real Ale logo in a "Campaign for Real Anarchism" logo a while back, and CAMRA decided not to sue on account that "no self-respecting anarchist would recognise our trademark", or something on those lines.

Different Class is also the name of an indie record shop in Plymouth, BTW.

the content for the issue came first - and is (mostly) prepared.

the name of the publication is one of the final pieces of the 'jigsaw' to put into place, which is why this discussion is taking place.

I somehow doubt that CAMRA could sue, fair usage, surely?

So, um, this new mag is not just the organ of Attica the Fox-Hugger and Parking Meter-Smasher, but also of Luther B the Islamophile.

This does not bode well.

OK, some new suggestions for names...

  • Chalk & Cheese
  • Shariah & Bakunin
  • No Gods, No Masters - Except Allah & the Caliph
  • Kill 'em! [Subtitle: Death to Apostates from the Holy Brotherhood of Islamo-Narchism]
  • Jihad on Parking Meters
  • Jihad on Fox-Hunters
