I have been thrown from a horse before and it's fucking painful. I assume she wasn't wearing body protection, like she should have been, even I still wear that and I can ride ok. This is why her ribs are broken. I know a WPC who is an excellent rider and does showjumping but she still wears a vest when she's on a horse. Horses are unpredictable and can be lethal, especially if you get fallen on.
Madonna needs to have a few more riding lesson me thinks.
I don't know what the fuck this shit is even doing on the news anyway.

I've got friends that ride regularly and you can never totally protect against a horse throwing you

it happened to me as a kid when a wasp stung the horse

I saw a young girl being thrown from a pony at a country show gymkhana , the air ambulance arrived but she died later in hospital. Poor kid was wearing all the right protection but it didn't help

If you enjoy equestrian sports, you risk death or injury, whatever measures you take to protect yourself
