I've heard that and when it was announced that he would become Scotland manager, I had my doubts. He had a bit of a bumpy time at Rangers towards the end. I can recall the Ibrox faithful calling for his heid.
He only won that title at Rangers 'cos Celtic dropped it into his lap

Collins wouldnt do it yet

gary mac doesnt have a good record - not his fault with Coventry through

BD is a bit fiery ( Heed the Ba' )?

McGhee no

Souness never

Levin - maybe

I would like to see KennyD. involved soemwhere - not as manager tho - maybe him & McAllister - It would have to be a team appointment for the long term

Or do it properly and tempt Sir Alex back to the fold ?

Dont like manu, but have nothing but respect for Taggart - and he did look after the Mexico 86 squad after Jock Died at the Wales game

McGhee - never, never.

Cuntness - never, never.

Both a waste of fucking space. And the fucker Fuckgee wouldn't even let his old club cancel their match against murderwell because of injuries. Fucker.

I think Berti Vogts has made it unlikely that the SFA will do that.

Bertie did alot of good if you view it objectively in the long term - no one in Scotland wanted to get involved wth the ageing Scotland squad.

It was always going to be messy & bertie was a well paid fall guy needed to go forward

As much as I hate to admit it, I fear that you're right. Vogts identified younger talent and gave them a go. We probably wouldn't have had Kenny Miller if wasn't for him.

I guess the Scotland job is suddenly pretty attractive to a certain kind of manager as being a stepping stone onto bigger things. It has a very good motivated squad that seems easy to manage and getting a couple of big results lights the boards all across the English press. Certainly it seems a good career choice for someone seeking to get into mid table English Prem management.

Id be happiest with Collins or McAllister. They seem intellegent enough coaches who have big enough reputations to work with the talent available. Souness seems to have been the kind of man who the England team needed as an assistant rather than as a scottish coach. He can get a grip of a dressing room but eventualy his abrasiveness becomes a liability.
