Macaroni Cheese - how do you make yours?

I put different stuff in mine..depends what we've got in the cupboards, but most of the time I don't like it without trimmings.I put a packet of smashed up cheese and onion crisps on top of mine with lots of cheeze and that gives it a nice crunch and taste :) bacon, spinich, sundried tomatoes, red onion,mushrooms..whatever we've got that would taste ok

I just follow the directions.

the mother used to make a simply delicious baked macaroni-and-cheese-and-other-things casserole for friday. i really looked forward to it.

she's dead now.

Mozzarella mixed into the sauce.
Then throw in the cooked macaroni.
Grated Percorino cheese in top of that...lots if it.
Breadcrumbs on top of that.
Bake in the oven for 25 mins.

Delicious.

Coop do a very nice Irresistible Macaroni Cheese for £3 (usually £4, and my local only sells it when it's on offer). Asda's have messed up the recipe for their previously superlative Extra Special offering at £3.50, but it is available in a very good value meal deal. I don't go to other places, though I'm told they exist, and perhaps they have similar offerings?

A different kind of cheese mix than the ones usually used?

Something added to a cheese roux sauce ;)

I like making keto sauce with macaroni.

Melt equal amounts of cheese, cream cheese , butter and cream. Stir and heat and voila!

Is it an addition to the basic recipe or a change to the fundamentals (giss' a clue)?
