:) yay, glad you enjoyed it! The mustards a must innit? And broccolis a good choice to go with it. Mmmm...I want some now

make some! unfortunately, i have nothing left for later as all evening yesterday we were backwards and forwards from the kitchen clutching our spoons and delving into the macaroni and cheese and Baileys flavoured Hagen Daaz. :)

bit of ice cream left as we 'sensibly' switched to wagon wheels, but no more mac 'n' cheese! :( :(

Some people seem to have a chronic loathing of macaroni cheese, which leads me to suspect that they were fed really bad second rate sloppy versions as kids, or, even worse, the tinned stuff...

Nah, I don't have a chronic loathing of the stuff, just don't like it that much. I find it way too rich most of time - a few bites and that's me done. Bit sickly and fat-filled for a meal by itself if you ask me. I'd rather have a more subtle, Italian style pasta dish any time.

That said, I don't mind the odd bite - my folks and relatives generally serve it a side dish with other meals. I reckon there'll be a bowl of mac cheese to accompany Christmas dinner, alongside the obligatory chicken curry and garlic pork. Well, turkey is a bit boring after all...

:)

My favourite meal, I put chopped mushrooms and spinach in the sauce when I add the milk, then a few sliced tomatoes on the top before the last bit of grated cheese and whack it under the grill.
Macaroni cheese must always be served with baked beans in my house.
