Lycrabells

I've got some baggy cycling shorts with pads in them that I really like. They look like regular shorts so don't look as silly as Lycra. I also have all in one Lycra that work a treat - but like Bob I avoid stuff with advertising on

Oh, and my comment about 'feeling superior' - meant tongue in cheek. The point is to get out and ride. If you want to get tribal about it then so be it, but by banging on about how another type of cyclist is a bellend or whatever you very quickly to to put yourself into your own sterotype.

A few days ago, while cycling in some baggy shorts, I rode over the same little bump going on to a bike path I do most days. The bump along with the baggy shorts caused me to sit on one of my testicles. Obviously it was rather painful and un-expected.

It wasn't earth shattering but cycling shorts do help with that sort of thing.

I did wonder if it was quite common but I just wasn't aware of it. Now I'm thinking that he probably was aware that his shorts were almost see through, and he wanted people to see his thong.

TBH I'd rather encounter a lycrabell in an SUV than a non-cyclist, at least lycrabells are more likely to be looking out for us pedalistas

Mmm, a lot of racing lycra is almost see through, brand new. Don't you ever see road racing on the tv??
Hubby watches it and even just the occasional glance was enough for me to notice how thin the lycra is
