That last 15 mins when Crouch came off the bench is the best performance I've ever seen from an England team. We were completely unstoppable and didn't put a single ball wrong. Came back from 1-2 down as well.

Yeah, it was a very exciting game that, although it was classic England syndrome - one minute we were the Worst Team Ever after losing to NI, the next we were Going To Win The World Cup after that friendly.

Argh.

Owen scored twice in the dying minutes, I was watching it in a pub in Blackpool. When he scored both times about 10 Geordies erupted in tochants of "Owen is a Geordie", and the legion of 3000 Liverfools fans (there may have been 1 scouser) sang along and drowned out the word Geordie with "Scouser". This went on for about 10 minutes.
