Looks like time is up for the New Piccadilly

Right HERE

If you want to sample this wonderful place, I wouldn't hang around too long. Although 22nd September is the official closing date, it may just close a few days earlier. Lorenzo reckons the media knobber rush for the last few days will be a bit of a scrum ;)

See post #25.

Seems a bit strange, that he has a chance to make some more money before closing and he's turning it down by closing early.

It's in Denman St, just nearv Picadilly Circus.

Funny how I have lived in London for 30 years and never been down that street.

I only walked down Carnaby Street for the first time two years ago (not that I was missing much by the looks of it)

But there must be a lot of streets in London you've never walked down. It's not exactly a main road either.

I popped in there on Saturday. It was *rammed*!

Maybe if it was always that busy, it wouldn't have got to this stage.

I'm not going into London now until Friday, will pop round and see if it's open.

If not, I'll just mourn it's passing quietly from out in the street.

Shame to see that distinctive shop front disappear.

I'm only a very occasional visitor to London but that place always jumped out at me. (Not literally.)
