Looking for a house to rent

In Loot the majority of properties are through estate agents as it is.

Estate agents charge you annoying fees, but as you say you don't have to deal with, say, a landlord who disconnects his mobile, moves to the caribbean and fails to notify his tenants so they can't even give notice to get deposit back and move out of the once lovely but now delapidated flat with a broken boiler.

I'd rather pay an extra £50 per year. Just avoid the major ones like Foxton's and it's OK, I've found.

And incidentally, budget around £850 pcm if any landlords with one bed flats in Zone 3 are hovering.

I'm in a really, really nice bit of Zone 3 and paying £750 for a large victorian conversion with big garden. Some mates off here pay the same for another really nice Victorian place.. £850 is a lot!

Ah but I'm in docklands which is the INCREDIBLY AMAZINGLY nice bit of Zone 3. That said I would happily just move to your really, really nice bit of Zone 3 and pay prices like that.
