Look what was knocking on my door this morning!

Sounds like win all round:

- Happy owner has found their missing cat
- Ed & Eme have been promised a kitteh
- Firky-kitteh has found second home.

I have to say it doesn't feel like much of a win right now.

Eme and I are both really missing the little fella. The flat seems empty without it scampering around.

:(

You never know. He knows where you live now - he'll be over for second helpings and making another break for it before you know it.

The plus side is you'll probably get a kitten, which will reach even higher degrees of cuteness. And playfulness, and destruction, and exploratory claw pain.
:)

Awww. But you will soon have your own kitteh scampering around. And this one will no doubt be back for a visit if he only lives down the balcony.....

Yep, I've always felt like a house isn't a home with a cat or two. Mine frequently drive me to distraction, but I fucking love the little so and sos.

Awww... soon there will be a new kitteh to warm your heart and poo on your carpet.

What was balconeh kitteh called, in fact?

How long to go until the new kitteh arrival Ed?

Another vote for the 'get a second one' btw. Far better for the cats, and not that much extra hassle for you at all. If you've only been promised one there are plenty of places to get the second one from.

Aaaaah yes.....the difference between the names we give to intruding/neighbouring cats and what they are really called.....there was one who came into my old place that I called Marauding Tabby.

Marauding Tabby turned out to be called Tiggy, same name as my partner's cat, but he will always be Marauding Tabby to me.:o:D

and No. 4

Editor will never think of banning kitten threads once he gets his own - and he will - he and Eme have the bug now ;)

Sorry to hear your bad news Editor :(

My parents had an invading cat that we, for some reason, decided to refer to as 'Bijoux', although over time 'Bijoux' became distinctly non-bijoux.

I want a cat, but I'm so stupidly allergic to them. :(
Allergy-free cats are now starting to be available (thanks to some genetic meddling). While they cost thousands now, one should be able to pick one up for hundreds instead in the not too distant future.

My mum went to this animal rescue place http://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.co.uk/ with a friend who wanted a rescue cat. She said it was heartbreaking, all these adult cats needing homes. Some of them have been there for years :( :( I can't actually look at all the pictures and stories because I end up watery eyed!

hmmm.

I wonder if any of those ever get put up for adoption anywhere...

I really shouldn't be looking at that site, it's making me really sad :(

 at the lady who got rid of her cats because she didn't think babies and cats should live together...

There's a cat there called moomoo!

I had to stop looking :(

I'd love to go and get all of them, but I've got an elderly cat and I think he'd be really upset/stressed if I got any more cats.

I think Editor should go and rescue one of them. He's clearly needs a cat in his life and these cats need a human pet :)

I am too - but only after I'd had mine for a year. I take daily antihistamines. Because I'd rather take them for the rest of my life than be without my lil kitties :)

*sneaks in quick pic of Pan as a tiny kitteh*

You really do yardy

I absolutely dote on my two, when I'm not screaming at them at 4am for racing and fighting around my bedroom, or trying to trip me up on the stairs :D

Aww - get some! You've been on about it for a while now - why don't you get a couple?

Ed, get thee down to Kent and adopt the mum and her two kits. Go on, you know you want to, and they're black too. Dash, pagan and druid I think the names were. Wish I lived closer to Kent(just this once)

Fuck knows how it ended up on our 8th floor outside balcony - there's really no easy way to get there - but this kitten is an absolute cutie.

I knocked on doors to see who it belongs to but no one's claimed it yet. We left it back on the balcony this afternoon (with food and water) and went to town thinking it would find its way back but it was waiting for us on our return.

I've put up some notes in the block asking for its owner to get in touch... but I wouldn't mind if no-one claims the lovely little puddy tat!

:D

Ah the famous cat :) Are you still on track to have one of the kittens?
