Why does internet humour tend towards the sneery and the cynical?
Laziness?

Can we see how you look please?Hipsters ~ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hipster_(contemporary_subculture)
A piss take website, came across it on tumblr and it made me laugh and think of one or two friends. Skinny Jeans, bespoke trainers, expensive hoody and baseball cap... hang on that could be me![]()
i got a few people i know who dress exactly like that.
I dislike it.
Especially as one of the girls wears too tight leggings.
rockin the lime green camel toe is not a good look.

Why am I being banned? I only joined!
*gets out Mr Sheen and gives the stick a good polishWhy am I being banned? I only joined!
the skatastic big d and the kids table said:i see them everywhere, wondering what's next
and i think it's kind of fun seein' them walk around downtown
and they got the new band records
and they want everyone to check 'em
want everyone to see that they did it first
want everyone to know
want everyone to care
but it's fun when we don't care, so i tell them like this
oh no, oh no, here we go again
it's the life of the perfect scenester
and now they listen to emotional music
when they used to like punk rock
or maybe now they like junk rock
and swore they never liked punk
and they always talk about shows
but i never see 'em
and when i do they're just bummin'
still haven't figured out that
and we just can't wait for what they got next
and they do it for the girls
yes they do it for the girls
but it's all the wrong girls in control of them
don't worry about anyone else
the best people are themselves
and we don't think you know yourself
Say it: cupcakes are so late 2008 and my tats are unique

That is a website for cunts, by cunts, if ever I've seen one.
Hipsters ~ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hipster_(contemporary_subculture)
I thought hipsters were largely a London thing but they seem to be spreading!
Hipster is a slang term which appeared in the 1940s. In the 1990s and 2000s it was used in various, sometimes contradictory ways, often to describe types of young, recently-settled urban middle class adults and older teenagers with interests in non-mainstream fashion and culture, particularly alternative music, independent rock, independent film, magazines such as Vice, and Clash, and websites like Pitchfork Media.[1] In some contexts, hipsters are also referred to as scenesters.[2] The term is sometimes used in a derogatory manner, referring to someone who moves from trend to trend while claiming to be outside of mainstream culture.
