Long standing beef A-Z

been thinking about long standing beefs of late.

Going to start with A for Armenia.

A million and a half maybe slaughtered and now a century old , yet still dictates relations and borders in the region. No end to this beef is in sight.

isn't it a bit distasteful to call something like that a beef?
