Not as in incest or that, but similar in terms of it being a bit interplanetary derring do rather than technology type sci fi.

Apparently, Philip K Dick was the only American sci-fi author that Lem was interested in.

Unfortunately, wikipedia tells me that...

I just read my first Arthur C Clarke novel "Rendezvous with Rama". I loved it, short chapters, easy to do in a sitting, not too long (like a different book I am currently being put off because of its length), well crafted and a pleasure to read!
