Where exactly? We looked in Kentish Town, Tufnell Park, Archway, Holloway Road, Finsbury Park and Manor House. All more expensive and just as nasty.
Would you go out to zone 3?, Golders Green, Hendon etc, A nice place is about 250k

But either nicer or with better transport links than Streatham :p

Muswell Hill is uber expensive, so's Finchley. Golders Green is a horrible, horrible place so's Hendon.

Xanadu - you sure? 5 buses to Brixton for the tube (where you'd get a seat) and 3 train stations vs the Northern/Picadilly Line. No thanks. I get a seat on the train every morning from Streatham and i'm at my desk in 40 minutes.
:p

saw a property - a 3 bed house, 1930s, freehold with a 100 ft garden and a fishpond.
made an offer this morning - £15K below the asking price.

estate agents called to say someone offered the full amount.

oh well...you can't win everything.

and the market in london has NOT slowed down.
it's still seriously fast...

also, i went off on one on saturday.
called the Foxton's estate agent 'a time-wasting cunt' to his face. the skinny shit then apologised and said he would do 'better' next time. fuck i went mad. Ms CA couldn't help but to laugh in the backseat.

(he drove us to various properties we didn't like. and when i asked how much each property was, he'd say 'oh, that's a surprise.' later we found out they were £25K above our price range. he'd then try and sell us their lending services).
