London Has Fallen

I love shit like this, I kept watching 24 no matter how far fetched it got. Nerve gas, explosions, amazing.
know this will be crap but I'll watch and enjoy. I won't pay cinema money though, I'll wait.

24 was much more edge of your seat style drama, the tensions and politics that came with it made it all the more interesting, season 6 it slowly went downhill from though.

This is just diabolical, however.

is the queen in it? not the actual queen but a stand in. apretend queen. An actor. Americans love the fuckin queen. Surely they'll have to imaginary save her in this piece of shit film

no, i've seen the director's cut and the inspiration comes from the famous scene in white heat where someone's thrown down the stairs.

Ooh, I hope so. I watch films on syfy channel, you can't put me off. [emoji106]

Oh I wasn't intending to put you off :D but with a explosive trailer and the caption "God Save Our Country" then maybe this is one time we dont mind parliament getting sunk into the Thames during a parliamentary debate about whether Twizlers should be taxed.

no, i see no reason for cheering additional pollution in the thames.

That Gerard Butler film where he tunnels out of prison to kill people is one of the worst films I've seen.

Some people talk him up as an actor. Has he been in owt decent?

I'm hoping it will be as stupidly entertaining as Olympus has fallen, beyond that I don't expect much, well big explosions and ridiculously implausible escapes from danger and a tissue thin plot that's gotten a bit damp.

Just saw Butler's turn described as 'staggeringly xenophobic' :hmm: I like a twatty action flick as much as the next person but don't fancy this much.

He's crap. He fitted the shouty 300 thing but is rubbish in everything else. And I read something on popbitch about him being slimy so 100% yuk.

Be warned - toxic 'filmmaking'/money-laundering duo Paul Tranter & Simon Phillips followed up their crappy 'Die Hard-in-a-multistorey-car-park' rip-off, He Who Dares, with the even crappier 'Olympus Has Fallen/White House Down-in-London' themed sequel, He Who Dares 2: Downing Street Siege.

Watched Olympus on Saturday (interspersed with chasing a giant fuck off moth around the room with a pair of socks tied to the end of a broom handle), having watched London last year. Tremendous bollocks :D

I like it for what it is, action packed and fun. I liked Gerad Butler in leading roles as I think he performs well in a variety of things.

Not sure range is his forte... :hmm:

So my sister's ex used to work at the same law firm as Gerard Butler before he became an 'actor'. Unclear whether he left or got sacked but apparently he used to be off 'sick' a lot of Fridays/Mondays and wasn't incredibly interested in the law.

I mean thankfully he pursued his passion which wasn't law so good for him.
I have seen him in another show that wasn't action based and I thought he was a strong lead again.
He looks the part too, that picture above is a solid 10.
