London:"best tap water in UK"

I found London water very hard; soap doesn't lather properly in it, and it leaves limescale everywhere. But besides that, I'm sure it's perfectly drinkable.

I had to get my London living friend one of those water filter things because she said it wrecked her kettle that much.

Leeds water is okay. The worst water I've tasted was in South Liverpool. It was really chloriney and lots of it made my throat go weirdly numb.

The water at my Mums in Manchester crisp and clean and very cold. Tap water in London is furry and horrible. Cups of tea in London always have some scum on top.

The last time i drank tap water in London i had the shits all weekend, whoever did that report should work as a new labour minister

That was probably because Londoners tend to wipe faecal matter on taps they know Northerners are going to be using. :p

Giving you a a taste of home, like! ;)

Coca Cola withdraw its Desai (sp?) water when the press discovered it was being taken from the mains in Sidcup.

Disani was withdrawn from sale, in London, due to Westminster Council's Trading Standards unit found amounts of a bromine compound, approxmately 100 times the safe European Union limit, in purchased samples...
(Ironically, the compound was used during processing, to remove waterborne bacteria).
As a result of this, & the "Peckham Spring" news items in the tabloids, Disani's nationwide U.K & European launches were cancelled, reportedly at the cost of several Million pounds according to Private Eye Magazine...
