Its the Camera Max Gogarty would buy to go travelling with (that or his dads Contax G2).
I did many years ago when they were about £50 get sucked in and bought one, but to be honest it was so unreliable and badly made (film slipping on the spool) I went back to my Olympus OM2n, as for the weird effects, the lo fi ness of mobile phone cameras is easily equal and quicker to digitize.
If you play around with reprocity law faliure and long exposures most of those effects are possible on an old 35mm SLR
