I’m old enough to remember when polling day weather like this was called ‘Labour weather’ as it was assumed by the party that the feckless class of their core support would be more likely to bother going down the polling station in warm sunny conditions. The myth also included the tories praying for rain on the day as their wealthy, elderly core could all drive down there in their Jags!

If you mean the numbering mayor candidates 1 and 2 then i think the tories changed it to fptp and labour haven't reversed that as far as i am aware.

I think most results are expected on Friday. A lot of councils leave local counts until the morning. Got work tommorow anyway so not staying up.

I think these might turn out to be the most consequential LE's in a while but they're still not worth staying up to watch and I'm retired so no work in the morning. I will check the results when I have breakfast.
