A friend of mine Moved in with his GF.Everything went in his name - the whole HOuse was mortgage in his name ( she was a student at the time of buying the place, so she wasnt on the mortage ) and every bit of HP and every item bougt went in his name. Soon after moving in,she began to arn and gave him half of everything in cash every month. Everything they bought went in his name. his card / His loans.
Its went tits up after a few years and it got really nasty. She wanted half of everything, but when it came down to it, the ionly thing she was entuitled to was the Sofa - as it had been bought in her name - everything else was his. Apparently even the fact that she could prove she was paying 50% of everything meant zero - these payments were classed as gifts or something and didnt presume any ownership rights
