Living in your dressing gown

Really? That's sort of odd, insofar that even if I were doing crazy work shifts and bad sleep patterns, I would probably wear something vaguely normal-wear to deal with unknown delivery men at the door, even if my real need might be to get two hours more sleep.

"Sleep more!?"

NO

"More sleep soon?"

NO!
"No, No Celyn! . Must be sensible for possible delivery. Want to be ready for delivery thing. Put on normal clothes. Even normal-ish.

So, I wonder, honestly, about how much it is that people are "slobbing about in their bed attire in the pm", and how much it is that people might have jobs that are not at all nine-to-five and are being completely sensible if the afternoon is their "morning". Not sure if if it really means that people are "slobbing about in their bed attire.". But then again, I suppose some might be, which certainly might be very annoying for Amazon (and all others) delivery drivers.

More common during the lockdown tbh but I’m not judging people as Id likely have done the same on some days if in same position.

I‘m not really arsed what people wear as long as they answer the door or stick their head out the window and shout to just leave it (parcel) on the doorstep as they’ll be down in a min.

I have a dressing gown but never wear it. People can wear what they like - nowt wrong with spending the day in undies and t-shirt if you want to.

I always get dressed but then I'm one of those annoying twitchy people who's convinced that there might be a housefire or one of the kids will get trapped in some sort of serrated bear trap in the woods and I'll need to dash out to rescue them.

Even now I'm sitting here in a full face of make-up, just catastrophising. And toying with going to Morrisons.

I have worked out (recently) that it is as easy to put a dress on as a dressing gown. So I do that. If my loungewear or pyjamas were one item then I'd probably do that.
Haha, yes! :) Somehow a very comfortable loose pretty dress is SO much more socially acceptable than the pyjama option. :D And even easier to wear - find big dress, pull dress over head, all done! :) Even easier than putting on trousers and a shirt.

I’m still in my dressing gown now. But it’s Sunday, I’m off work so I had a lie in, plus I had a drink last night with the gf.

I’ll have a shower shortly and be dressed before pm as I can’t really go out for a bike ride in my dressing gown.

Ah, but the economy is not (allegedly) in actual depression yet.
Possibly some repression, suppression and lots of *essions
Heh its no judgement.. I love my dressing gown and so do my mates .. but we all suffer with depression at times and when we do the dressing gown barely comes off ...so its a pretty good indicator.

... as I can’t really go out for a bike ride in my dressing gown.
Oh, you can. :D Anyway, who can complain? Anybody who wants to object to you would probably approach within 2 metres of you, and you could all have a great time discussing. On the other hand, no enjoyable bike ride, really. There is that. :)

Having had to be zoom-ready at 8am every day since March, I've just spent a week's holiday rarely getting out of me nightie, and being a stranger to lipstick. Do whatever you're comfortable in, who's there to see?

:)That sounds very sensible.

Ooh! "Robin of Sherwood" Is this the Richard Carpenter one? Utterly wonderful. Love to see all that again.

Is this "Drama Chanel" a thing normally available on a basic sort of Sky sub thing? That way, I could see it at my Dad's house. I could pretend that I am in his house only to make it safe and healthy for Dad to come home from hospital, but then I could see "Robin of Sherwood" again.
Channel 20 on Freeview or from the UKTV Play app.

go out like this instead:

I don't understand why people think that wearing the same thing continuously means less laundry

If you have decided that you can wear the same thing for a month without washing it, then if you have about 10 different outfits, you only need to do your laundry once a year, even if you rotate them every couple of days.
