Steve Gerrard is as honest as they come. You won't see him diving around or cheating. The way, he dusted himself down after the savage push by the defender, to score the penalty in front of the Kop end in the 95th minute was credit to him.

I just wish others would follow his example and not cheat.

heh, at least you do this better than most 'pool fans :p

Great to see the Kop give Luis Garcia a warm welcome. Chanting his name.

Certainly put the likes of Tottenham to shame, for their reception for Keane on Saturday. Admittedly some were clapping, but most Spurs fans weren't happy with the lack of class from their part. Corporate Bankers eh?

they should have won tho-
think isitme has lost the plot a bit- next he'll be accusing stevie g of orchestrating 9/11

I don't think it's exactly mental to call that a fucking fix

liverpool deserved to win based on possesion and shots etc, but they didn't, they couldn't score, just like against tottenham on saturday, they couldn't turn their possesion into a goal. madrid outplayed them and it's completely fucking unfair to give them a goal as the last kick of the match cos 'they didn't deserve to lose'

it was fucking disgusting

Let's face it, Man U used to be similarly spawny. Remember the Champions League final with Bayern...

man utd in the champions league was spawny cos it was all scored in open play

this was totally different, the ref gave liverpool a penalty in the last kick of the game to change the result. that isn't being spawny, that's being involved in a betting scam

relahni rose tinted specs can only go so far. got to be joking.

never a penalty and to say otherwise is silly.

handball yeah but didn't liverpool hand ball it twice as well? i wasn't really watching

fucking jammy result and if i was atletico i would be fuming. the cl is fuckin biased

also surprised how hated the pool are. when did that come about? not on here i mean, just in general. bring it on imo bunch of tossers

it was a harsh call, but it wasnt totally unreasonable

he also waved away a perfectly legitimate penalty that would also have changed the result

what was the bet? stevie g to score a 93rd minute penalty?

It came about with the Rafalution. We're great now, one of the best teams in Europe.

Fans hate it when other teams are successful. That's ok though.

I'd be absolutely delighted if I was an Athletic Madrid fan. An undeserved point against the favourites to win the Champions League at Anfield.

They must be laughing. We should have put them out of sight.

I really hope we get our shooting boots on for Saturday. Like all teams, Man Utd included, we're expecting them to come to Fortress Anfield and put 11 players behind the ball, so it'll be difficult to break them down. But Torres should be back, Keane will be keen to score his first goal.

If we take our chances we could score 9 on Saturday.

liverpoop to get into the next round of the champions league guaranteed by a fixture that should have provided an unpredictable result but didn't because of the power of betting syndicates

refs giving shit penalties or not cos they are shit is one thing. giving a completely ridiculous pen to change the result is something else entirely

I did not watch it but I feel the need to post and/or agree to disagree on some of the issues raised.
