indeed: a victory for the working class! Whereas Shiver Fool getting a point was a set back :D :D

Just seen the handball which should have given a penalty to Watford too. Lucky fuckers.

Isn't it a Liverpool rule to sometimes get dodgy results against 'shit newly promoted teams' (in the words of a scouse mate)? E.g. the 1-0 defeat to Watford a few years ago, or several to Leicester...

That is why we won't win the premiership. But the odd cup will do us fine, until we change the mentality of the team or there is a clearout and more technical players are brought in. I remember when sissoko came and was spraying balls all over the field, in dangerous areas. But because no one was in those vulnerable areas of the pitch, it made him look ineffectual. Sissoko has now changed his game to one where he chases balls and merely distributes in safe areas. Obviously there are exception, but this seems to be the rule.

4.Blades were very up for it on the first day of the season. Early kick and live on Sky. Most teams would have struggled to win their today.

:D "the other team tried harder and it was a bit early for us":D

I was at the West Ham game on Saturday.

Positives - Agger looks assured, Pennant's passing and awareness is excellent, although he has a tendency to drift inside, Bellamy's full of smart running but will get caught offside so many times and the first impression of Kuyt is a good one.

Negatives - Aurelio isn't a left back, Hyppia's gonna get caught by someone with pace, Garcia had one of his frustrating days and Alonso's off the pace.

We're gonna dick worse teams than WH, though, of which there are many.

Agreed, tried telling this to a friend of mine, though he won't have it. I stated that 3rd or 4th would be good enough in my books, my friend expects 1st or 2nd, anything else is failure. Do all our support expect the title this season?

I kinda got caught up in the hype pre-season, but am tempering it a bit now, mostly through watching Chelsea coming away from Ewood with 3 points despite looking a bit ordinary.

However, we can only get better from here on in. Next two games is Everton and Chelsea I think. Ask me again after them :)

Went myself on Saturday and would agree on those points you made. I think Pennant got confused over the obvious game plan of switching with Louis mid way through the first half. I kept wandering why he was cutting inside myself but it became obvious when Garcia finally reciprocated the swap that it was planned. I think pennant just jumped the gun a bit too soon. At least him and finnan seem to have developed an understanding now.

I was right opposite Agger when he hit his humdinger. Class goal. What i saw of Aurelio close up in the second half was enough to make me think he'll get comfortable with time.

Raffa's changing the quad so much that it's bound to leave players seemingly out of position until they get used to playing with different teammates.

I thought Kuyt made a great contribution and his prolonged applauding of the ground at the end will make him a favourite with the kop. He got a very good reception and proved he was worth it imho.

I can't get used to this drinking bitter in the flat iron at 10:30am lark though:o :D

Mellor to PNE.

Nugent going where then?

Nowhere, cos he's shite and overated. Moyes has looked at him a million times and won't touch him cos he only turns up for the sky cameras. He's rubbish.

3-0 defeat to everton, 4th is still ok for me. 6th and the lose of carragher, alonso and a replacement for hyypia (great servant, up there with all the greats in my opinion). Some might think after this performance that I'm going over the top, but I've been calling for carragher and alonso before this game.
Anyone that is a true red would know that we have problems. No team is really scared of us, they give it "liverpool are a big club", though secretly their of the opinion "we'll stuff 'em".
We played a weakened side for the derby with a thought to the game on tuesday. We could in fairness have played our best team in both games and still have something left for chelsea next week.

What, just like the blues that couldn't wait to get out of anfield last time?. Liverpool are Magic, everton are tragic.

How many derbys have you lost again?. :D

79.

We've also won 7 in a row away, been unbeaten in 14, unbeaten in 15 away, and we sold some shite arse of a stadium to you, but we're not living in the distant past any more.

3-0! Too easy.

Fair play to you though - all the other RedShites are unwilling and unable to defend their team. You're just unable.

I'm just laughing at the fact that you're making such a big deal of this, it must be shite when this is the only thing you've had to celebrate in a while - that and getting into europe - and then getting kicked out at the first hurdle. :D

"We don't care that we lost because we won last year"
Aww come on, do you think you'll get past the second round of the uefa cup next season then?. You're not in it this year.

Two straight 2-1 wins over Chav$ki recently but 4 straight league defeats.

Kuyt and Bellamy looked good together the other night so you can guarantee they won't start together on Sunday. Would like to see Agger keep his place, Gerrard and Sissoko in the middle and Pennant and Gonzalez on the wings.

Would be happy with a draw then get going properly with the season!

Me and the boy at Anfield on Wednesday

Nice one - we were there the other week.

Got some quality photos.

Got a good one of me and my daughter next to Carragher and Sami's shirt.

plus Gerrard

plus one with her favourite player Riise!

Aha! Like this one :)

Yeah it was a good day out. Kuyt was filming some advert thing in front of the away end so everyone was watching him and ignoring the tour guide.

I'm ringing childline...tantamount to abuse...making the poor little thing endure Anfield....euuuurrrrgggghhh, hopefully she'll see the light and head down the East lancs road as soon as she is old enough to know better and learn the error of her dad's footballing affiliation;)
