and everyone to the right of Ted facking Heath was totally fucked up with that one!

soz.

The fat cunt makes me laugh. "I'm not racist like that BNP scum!"

Richard Littlejohn's boss has to be a left winger, surely?

sad this will sound but I lament the lack of Question Time over here. I would have loved to watch that loser make a prat of himself simply by being there uttering his rubbish. My first post on Urban was actually about Littlejohn and we had lots of threads with healthy hate for his nonsense. However I haven't seen his rants, sorry, articles around in the old Scum for a while (not that I read it, but flicked through it at old workplace sometimes). Where does he write? I love comedy journalism.

Question time last night was brilliant :D

Julia Goldsworthy talked a lot of sense or was it just me that thought that. I think she came across as being really normal, or is that all an act?

Margaret Beckett got it absolutley ripped out of her, Littlejohn just took the piss out of her all night! :D

I love it!!

You'll find them in the Daily Mail on Tuesdays and Fridays, oh and he's also the best paid newspaper journalist in the country.

It was like a BNP rally, Littlejohn on one side and Hague on the other. At least they all agreed what a shallow opportunist Cameron is. Felt sorry for Beckett having to defend that fat slug Prescott. The best question of the night was virtually ignored. Why should foreigners be punished twice for the same crime when Britons are only punished once. No one wanted to answer that, playing to the xenophobes that make up this sceptic isle.:(

Well the lib dem treasurer answered of sorts didn't she?

But I agree with you it was a good question - was it me or was that immigration lawyer a bit odd though?

If we are going to deport after prisoners have done their time then why not deport in the first place rather than waste tax payers money? Hmmm....

Yes, I'm also glad someone asked the 'why punished twice' question. It's an important issue and I'm not sure where I stand on that issue.

On the one hand, if you are given a visa (or something similar) stating that you can stay in this country as long as you don't commit a serious crime, then you can't complain if (having been convicted for a serious crime) you are then deported.
On the other hand, I'm not convinced that it is always the best or fairest way to treat people who have come here.

i hate question time

it's like jerry springer or something, they just clap at anything

I'll admit it has become a bit low-profile as rarely do any senior members of the government dare to go on so we end up with the junior minister for spin and toadying (they had the minister for policy on once and someone asked what he actually did, that was great question). I still like watching it if they have someone interesting on, my favourite guests are:

George Galloway
Robert Kilroy Silk
David Starkey (v. funny, clever guy)

Her question shows she is absolutely on top form as an immigration lawyer.

he did go a bit far on the woman thing i thought at one point.

was loving the audience jeering when she had the front to say labour wouldnt shout 'sleaze' at prescott if the roles were reveresed
