Little Dorrit

Um, did anyone else struggle a bit with who was whose mother? Or had I just smoked too much weed?

I had to look it up today :o

Oh yes. I thought Amy and whatsisname were brother and sister for a minute there, and it was beyond me why Amy got left a legacy at all. Very flimsy and confusing.

Amy and Arthur gained and lost fortunes about three times in that episode and what was it with everyone dropping like flies?

Maybe I am just too thick for things like this. I found it very confusing. Not just the ending but the whole thing. Too many characters and too many storylines all jumbled up made it difficult to follow. Especially with the dodgy scheduling.

I gave up on the 'plot' about halfway through the series and just watched it for the performances instead :D

Bloke who played John Chivery gets my award for 'Most Effective Male Blubbing in a Scene EVA' and bloke who played the butler my award for 'Making the Most of a Very Small Role in a Prime Time BBC Production' - possibly in a tie break with bloke who played the Italian just for his range of mugging facial expressions in the background :D

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed it.

It's just with all the people and stories introduced at the start, along with the "secret". I assumed all these characters and plots would all tie up in the end.

However, they didn't. Plot lines and characters seemed forgotten as it went on.

For example Miss Wade & Tattycorum and Amy's friend. All seemed very mysterious at the start but by the end they were very minor and forgotten completely in the case of Amy's friend.

Also the butler having a twin through me. I thought he was murdered only to pop up like nothing happened which really perplexed me.
