I am just about the right age to be a (former) Limp Bizkit/Linkin Park fan. A lot of my friends were, back in the day. But I never liked that stuff.

It was punk all the way for me. All that faux angry metal just sounded wank.

I was exactly the same. It was all about NOFX, Op Ivy, Rancid et al. Nu Metal was for the twats.

There's some nu metal that's fun enough if you're young or drunk or in that sort of mood - and even some which is just basically good music - but there really is no excuse for Limp Bizkit.
