I dunno, I'm with Filter, as a pop band for kids linkin Park are kind of good, in a shit way. Melodies, shoutalong angst, blah blah. Not for me, but not shite enough to get angry about. But Limp Bizkit? Inexcusable. GTFO my music forum with that toss.

This. When they came out I was in my mid teens and wouldn't be seen dead listening to them, but now I don't care so much about image I've bothered to give them a go and they have some good melodies and catchy tunes.
 
I'm also prepared to allow linkin park as mike shinoda's other projects aren't half bad. his work with styles of behond was very good & fort minor are supringly good.

He's not one of Styles of Beyond, though, and I don't remember him being on either 2000 Fold or Megadef. They backed him on some Fort Minor tracks, and those are the only ones that are anywhere near good...

And he's a shite MC.
 
i didn't say he was a member i said his work with.

mainly on mixtapes and stuff. But hes also thier boss i think these days, and think demigodz are signed on his label as well, which is good work.

Fairly sure he was on megadef. but can't remember.

But if it makes you feel any better, you're the only rap fan I've ever known to take Shinoda seriously as an MC. :)
 
In a life lasting only three score year and ten, there's precious little time to be wasted on drivel like Damp Karpet imo.

Best not to get precious about it though.

Tbh, Megadef's not as good as 2000 Fold was, and what I've heard since, they've gone seriously downhill anyway.
 
I fancied the lead singer from Linkin Park when I was about 15 :hmm:

I still listen to them sometimes, I think some of their stuff is quite good.
 
don't think i have heard 2000 fold.

i don't take him seriously as an mc. Doesn't mean he can't produce the odd gem. & i like that sly dig. "rap fan" tosser!:p:D

I like em, in a not very serious way.. good to sing along to with someone else who likes them.. Linkin Park on the other hand, are terrible
 
I am just about the right age to be a (former) Limp Bizkit/Linkin Park fan. A lot of my friends were, back in the day. But I never liked that stuff.

It was punk all the way for me. All that faux angry metal just sounded wank.
