Like the best humus ever!

Noooooooooo! Not houmous! I've already definitively answered this one. I've looked it up in an Arabic dictionary and everything.

It's hummus.

:p
Since when are english loan words written as phonetic transcriptions?

I prefer houmous, to hummus. Because the hou leads the reader to a "whom" (if more clipped) rather than a "hum" (as in you hum it, I play it).

Why is it homous in your tagline then? :p

I can't believe that AnnO put all that work into translating it and you ignored her!

Now write Hummus 1,000 times!

'Hummus 1,000 times'

There, happy now?

;) :p

The old ones are the best, oh yes.

Yeah, you gotta have tahini! I can't believe softybabe didn't use tahini.
You don't have to to make it houmous. Arabs actually call houmous with tahini in 'houmous with tahini' which implies it's normally made without it :p

(I prefer it with though ;))

The first thing I'm doing when I get to London, well after having some real beer and some fish and chips, is going to one of the turkish shops, buying a big packet of pita bread, a huge brick of feta and a giant tub of houmous.
