Life on Mars - new series?

Thanks for mentioning that.

I watched the penultimate episode last night, and wasn't expecting the final episode 'til next week. :o
no problem, i think the digital bbc channels are doing this sort of thing a lot now, repeating the previous series, just ahead of the new one

such a bizarre concept one wonders how it ever got made, though i am glad it did.

I think the idea was initially rejected by the BBC when the writers first came up with it about ten years ago or something! Presumably it was swimming around in production hell in the intervening years?

It's very enjoyable stuff, anyway.

I often get a bit fed up of lazy repeats, but somehow I missed these final couple of episodes when the series was first screened last year, so I'm not complaining on this occasion!

so glad this is back.

bought my parents the series one box set for Xmas as they didn't watch it the first time round - they still haven't opened the damn thing.

I know they'll love it, think it clashed with some other shite they watched on a regular basis back then. I'll probably have to go round and sit and watch an episode with them to get them into it. Sods law they'll not like it because i'll be sitting there enjoying it... you know how it goes

or like the first time I tried to get them to watch Simpsons, it was the first really bad episode i'd seen in ages. 'um, it's normally funnier than this.. honest'
