Life and Lyrics anyone seen ads for this. Saw a trailer last night, looked totally shit but you never know, it's got Ash D from Bullet Boy/So Solid innit.

The music didn't seem to relate much to london hiphop/grime or were they trying to pitch it to a US audience.

cant remember the name but the skinnyman film should be out soon which could be good, but ive not heard of this, does sound a little dodgy

Seen ads for it a couple of weeks ago. The reviews suggest that it's really good. We'll soon see if they're right.

edit: oh, The Plague. I read about that quite a while ago, & I didn't even know it had Skinnyman in it...

i always desire UK films be good, it's just the trailer gave off the whiff of celluloid disaster! I'm hoping it's gonna the bizness.

The plot sounds well shit- boy fancies girl who's related to member of rival gang...
Heard a review on Radio4 last night (yeah I know it was radio4) that made it sound like it's turd.
Bullet Boy was pretty good, but apparently this really isn't as good or imaginative.
However, that's just one opinion.

I saw a trailer and I'm tired of always being really negative about these UK attempts at the hip hop film but it looked shite - it looked like 8 Mile lite.

We should stick to class and oppression and costume dramas.

some critic on the radio said that if you'd seen 8 mile, then you didn't need to see life and lyrics - but did say that it was enjoyable enough, but nothing new.

I'll wait for it on dvd - it will be better than kidulthood won't it? :D

I heard that was quite good though...
