Which of them is the "Orange Book" faction candidate? Because whichever one it is, I want the other one to win instead. An Orange-Book win will just add to the incessant rightward lurch of political culture in this country.

My point fo view as well.

Mind you I probably woulnd't vote LD anyway (except for Paddick) on the grounds that they are untrustworthy (think Tower Hamlets neighbourhoodisation disaster, the Richmond Ice rink scandal and other areas whre they have said one thing and done another).

As opposed to the usual 2 parties who have been the bastion of virtue...

I think the LD's deserve a chance, but they refuse to countenance being too different from the other 2 parties. How difficult would it be for them to say that they were going to support small businesses more for example, orraise the speed limit on the motorways, or review licences or review the tax system rather than just unload more of the tax burden onto the income earners. They have no ideas!! They are scared to be different and thus will sadly remain a marginal party.

You forgot the 'Who Cares?' option.

Besides, they are the same person. It's a media fabrication that they are different.

Wrong Hulme is one the radical (for the Libdems) wing of the party, against Trident, Iraq, 50p top rate tax & ID cards. Clegg is one of the Orange Book authours who want to take the Libdems to the crowded middle ground.

I think they are all self serving pocket lining wankers to be honest. For the first time in my life I'm considering voluntarily not voting as they are all the same bastards just with different gravy and badges on.

Yup they just like the tories and nu labour. My point proved about them being all shite.

As regards the LD's their performance in local government doesn't exactly fill me with confidence. I also rmember Alec Kellaway who was the bright star of Newham council and was the only opposition councillor until he joined nu lab. Totally untrustworthy imo.
