LGBT Support for Israel

Actually, Palestine is, or used to be until recently, one of the most secular places in the Middle East.
Indeed. And Palestine has a significant Christian minority, to boot.

Although the Israeli state seems determined to drive them all into the hands of the hardline factions.

so bloody what if gay people support palestine? It's like saying gay people shouldn't want to stop AIDS in Africa because a lot of African people don't like gays
Indeed.

Support Israel because they're more tolerant towards gays than the surrounding nations? What, so mass murder's OK as long as they don't officially beat up gays? Um, no. My sexuality does not define my entire worldview.

I suppose a blow jobs out the question then:D

Wow, you're an utterly stupid loser, aren't you?

If you say so:rolleyes:
I'm not a fan of Islam or any religion, but it does help if you get your facts right.

Try visiting one of your local Mosques. Many of them have open days. I've visited the local Mosque here, and was received very courteously, despite my being a troublesome atheist. (I was told, though, that the one in the next town had become "radicalised", and abandoned by many moderate Muslims who now use the one nearest to me).

Oh and your nasty sexist "joke" above did you no favours, though you might find your misogyny at home in a number of religious sects.

Thats a very subjective definition. Can you be more specific:rolleyes:

How do you define loser?

Canadian Muslims have recourse to Sharia courts, and yet we haven't seen any hand-chopping or stoning there, have we Mr. Snide?

I thought the move towards canadian sharia courts had been blocked in 2005. The blocking was mainly due to lobbying by muslim women's groups.

I could, as allways, be very wrong though.

I though that there needed to be three adult male Muslim witnesses to adultery so it would follow that the same must be there to prove someone was gay prior to any stoning anyway

Which should mean virtually every gay person is safe, well George Michael might not make it with his park toilet problems:D:D

I'm not going to look on that website and im not going to read the threads.
I want to state my pov without having to raise my blood pressure first.

In my class activism I want to directly challenge the notion that supporting Palestinians should mean supporting Hamas- a homophobic, anti-worker theocratic state.

Hadn't you, get your head out of the sand then, and find out how the Palestinians treat gay people.
So Palestinian Christians, like Azmi Bishara and Nayef Hawatmeh, are well-known proponents of Sharia, are they?

Try not to make sweeping generalisations, Sas.

The link in the op is about a Jew unsuprisingly supporting Israel, the fact that she is gay is neither here nor there I would have thought.
