LFC are a bunch of lazy bastards.

Fair assessment G-Force, although on Josemi's early form I would rate him higher than average - good solid full back. On later form I would rate him as a liability, but as anyone with half a brain agrees, you can't make sweeping judgements on players based on a handful of games.

How many games does it take?
Pellegrino = 2
Hyppia =297
Alonso =24

Your call.

Believe me, people in liverpool want him and the spaniards he signed to shape up or sod off, they have already had enough.

Er, do they? Well, take it from a 'person in Liverpool', no they don't. Genuine fans who go to the game week in week out are disappointed with our recent form, but on the whole are happy with the direction we have taken overall. In only half a season we have played much better football than on the whole of the last three years.

Shit for LFC or in general? Not sure, I would say shit for the UK, having signed a number of spaniards that are having little effect

Oh Jesus. You are everything that is wrong with nouveau fans. You're making knee jerk reactions to people who have been playing for a new club in a new country for only 6 months. I'm sure you don't understand how ridiculous that is. But it is.

By the way mate - which of the many clubs do you see and how often? I know Liverpool have been on the box a lot lately, so I suppose you think that qualifies you as a 'top pundit'. However, it clearly doesn't.

Incidentally, who else in the Prem should be sacked? Cos with the exception of the top 3, who wouldn't jump at being on the verge of a final place, last 16 in the CL and still well in with a shout at 4th spot?

At the end of the day, football is full of idiots with daft opinions. Why should you be any different?

Hi Tony - no more aggro from me old son. I've been kindly let back in on the proviso that I don't act like an arse and that I provide some much needed comedy value to the footy forum*.

Hope you are well mate.

*Only one of those statements is true.

You wannabe scouse cunt.

A neverending circle of random abuse - boards have been a bit shite in yer absence. Flimsier tried to do a petition to get you back by the way.

Exactly, stop fucking signing them.

Glad you agree.

Did he? I feel bad now for having a right farewell blast at him. Well, he's still on to win his bet for the crate of lager, so that'll make it up to him!

Got to be a bit careful with the random abuse this time...

Did I get troll of the year by the way?

Oops, not descending into my tickets bigger/redder/smells prettier than your ticket thing again are we.

No, not a top pundit, have opinion & respect yours.

Football is not full of idiots with daft opinions, some are quite knowledgable and interesting, why should I be any different?

You steamed it! Shame that's the only thing you Mickeys will win this year ha ha.

You've a great keeper by the way.

Who? Morientes - proven class striker, cost the same as Beattie. Alonso - top class midfielder, would get in any team in the UK. Garcia - skillful touches, no end product yet. Needs time to settle. Nunez - forced on us with the Owen sale. No use whatsoever yet. Josemi - solid full back at first, lost a bit of confidence. AGAIN, needs time to settle before anyone with half a brain can pass judgement. Pellegrino - free, came as cover.

If you really think Benitez should be sacked after 6 months of an injury ravaged season, after inheriting a poor squad, and losing our main goalscorer to Madrid, then you CLEARLY know fuck all about the game.

So, Mr Footy fan, where do you stand on Jol at Spurs? Should he be sacked?

How about O'Leary? What about Souness? See what I'm getting at. Now get a grip.

Carson? I know. Got him for a song as well.

Do I get a badge for winning then?

I meant jumper or sweater or whatever.

You don't get a badge you get a little fez with a Blue Peter badge on it, in memory of the biggest troll ever....

OLeary is doing just fine, meeting expectations at this point.
Jol now has the opportunity, lets see over the next few weeks.
Souness is doing the job he was signed to do, change the attitude.

I can't believe any football fan can come out with the pure bullshit you just spurted about alonso et al. Morientes, yes, looks a good player. Other than that, all other signings he has made have just been a big dissapointment. Are you telling me & the rest of the world that any of those other players are semi-decent squad players.

I like to giggle, sometimes it gets too funny tho.

The thing is, all you're doing is regurgitating tabloid nonsense. None of your 'opinions' are based on real life knowledge. And that's ok to a point - not everyone can get to the games. But to launch a tirade saying Benitez should be sacked after only 24 games, and that LFC are in a freefall is quite frankly laughable.

On the player point, you are still ignoring the fact that no man is able to pass a complete judgement based on half a season, especially someone who has seen a handful of games on MOTD. By putting Alonso in the 'big disappointment' bracket you have shown yourself as a poor armchair pundit - before you repeat what Hansen & Lawrenson are spouting, plus that McGovern cock from the Mirror, do some real research.

It was interesting to see that O'Leary is 'meeting expectations' and Jol has 'the opportunity' - can you tell me what your expectations were for Liverpool then mate? Could it have been last 16 Champions League, 4th spot and maybe a decent cup run? By any chance?

Unless you start to make sense, I'm going to have to politely back out of this one. I have been away for a while and I don't know who you are (you could be an arse, you could be sound), but I'm not wasting time arguing over the 'sacking' of Benitez with someone who clearly does not know what he's talking about.

Need to make one thing very clear.

I did not start a petition to get the RedShite back. Fuckin' cunt that he is. Trying to welch on a bet!

Anyway, skyscraper, when you're in London we can share the crate, and if you are never here, you can send it :p

I am actually pleased you are back

I can see you now flims, tied to a tree with a big banner demanding I'm allowed back in. Nice one swampy.

And you're crate was nevr in doubt, unless of course the blues go on a massive downward spiral since Gravesen fucked you off. Here's hoping...

Cheers Flims.

You're fucking hoping....

we have got more points per game with Grav not starting than with him starting.

Morientes creating/ personally being in a downward spiral is more likely.....!

7 points is a fair bit... I reckon you'd have given me 20/1 start of the season on us being above you, no?

Beattie, 6m. Morientes, 6.3m.

Don't get too deflated when we go past you sunbeam, it was always going to happen.

7 points but we have a better GD. We win the derby, it's down to 4 points. 4 points to make up over 14 games. Very do-able.

Big ifs sunshine.

We're the better side and it would take some collapse to finish below the RedShites.

What was the score in the derby, by the way?

Better side? :D

Know what makes me laugh - Everton are doing 'so well' this year under Moyes, playing EXACTLY the same style of football you pilloried Houllier for last year. Tough to break down, hoof it up to the forwards. Not pretty to watch (how many times have you seen them this year mate?) but you can grind out some results.

As for us, well, what were our expectations for this season? 4th spot, last 16 Champions League, decent cup run? Er, o.k. Achieved all that, by and large and recent results excluded, by playing attractive, attacking football, something that I haven't seen at Anfield for a long while.

So, whatever happens this season (barring a catastrophic slide between now and the end of the year) I'm a lot happier than last year.

This one, or the previous 10 or 11?

No, we play with commitment. Redshites have none of that.

And you seem to have changed decent cup run to 'decent run in any cup'.

And sleater, you can live in previous seasons, but we're talking about this one.

Of course, Benitez has been hundreds of times better than Houllier - except you had more points this time last year. :D:D:D

Commitment? Like Gravesen, who jumped ship at the first occasion, and Ferguson, who preferred to take £50,000 a week and sit in the stands rather than move on and reduce the burden on the wage bill.

Everton are playing very ugly football and have ground out results by getting stuck in and working really hard.

Tight at the back, get the ball, hoof it long, fight for the scraps. And you laughed at Houllier for that.

Yeah, but Moyes hasn't been continually talking about his 5/6/7 year plan, as if that would assure success was just round the corner.

And he hasn't spent xxumpteen million on inferior defensive midfield cloggers and dodgy French players either.

No boggle eyes either...

:p

Stayed for four years, as long as he said he would. Was willing to see his contract out.

Commitment is Michael Owen, or will be what we see in Steven Gerrard.

BUMP!!!

Couldn't see the point in re-posting this in another thread.

mmmmAlwaysMoanAboutAboutArmchairFansSkyscraper will probably moan about armchair fans I s'pose.
