Lexx

The first two series were great. Cheap, shit, but great fun. The first series always felt like one hour eps stretched out to make features. The second series were like 30 minute eps stretched out to an hour.

But then the third series, Jesus Christ, it was like one 30 minute ep stretched out over 13 one hour episode. Utter shit. I've only seen a couple of episodes of series four but it seemed to be back on track(ish).

At the end of series three I got an emal from the makers begging anyone working in the media to do a feature on Lexx or anything they could to raise it's profile so they could convince investors to pay for S4.

i love lexx

Not quite; from wikipedia: "The series is a Canadian/German co-production, with some additional funding from Britain's Five."

It was shot in Toronto; a friend of mine was the lighting stand-in for the lead (lexx?)
I've never been able to get into this Farscape, or Firefly. I find it really hard to suspend my disbelief long enough to enjoy it. I guess it's with any fantasy series, something really rivetting has to grab me in order for the show to transcend the fact that it's all happening on a fairly cheaply decorated sound stage in the East End of TO.

Yes, I was referring to Firefly with the cheese comment.

Yes, as I matter of a fact my friend is a big dragonfly, how did you know?
Not easy to light, but harder to find a double for. I can't imagine your friend finding much other work.

True. There was that brief stint on a Godzilla movie a few years ago...

but since then nothing... of course, that might be a good thing, since having kids she's hasn't had a moment to herself; those larvae need constant attention.

I'm surprised she didn't elect to eat her own young. :(

I'm downloading all four seasons at the moment. Only watched the first episode but it looks great so far. It's like a breath of fresh air after watching that dreary fourth series of BSG.

One day, I will successfully wear Xenia Seeberg down with my letters and obscene drawings.

On that day, we shall marry.

Fucking hell this show was so bad it makes me angry just to think of it. Actually.

I'd rather watch Space Precinct

Epic bump to say that I've been watching this and series 1 is EXCELLENT! If anyone is craving some seriously different sci-fi season 1 is well worth a watch

Series 1 and 2 were very good, it dropped off a bit after that but the first two were excellent and innovative.

Lexx was brilliant. Series one and two were innovative, imaginative and just
superb...Must say, i was gutted when the original Xev was killed off and it
took me a while to warm to new Xev, but it was wonderful T.V.
