Lewisham People's Day July 8th

Its pretty big for a 'little festie' - there's masses going on there.

The kids area was lovely last year, like a miniature Glastonbury theatre field round by the Insect Circus (its there again this year) - didn't really make it far from there but the rest looked good.

We went a couple of years ago and it was ace. It was also the first time we met lots of urbanites, including Mation, Mango5, golightly and Maggot...

I'm sure I'll pop along for a bit at some point - there's also a festival in Southwark Park that same day in which The Blockheads are playing, so I'm going to try to get to that as well:D

World Cup Final -- Sunday 9th July. The kickoff is, I think? in the evening.

The Saturday only has the third-place playoff, and that'll probably only be in the evening anyway.

Lewisham -- I'll be along again :)

Be warned, there was security at the gates in 2005, not the easiest of tasks to bring in your own booze (possible-ish but not easy)

They were just stopping you bringing glass in I thought?

I had to leave my bottle of wine with them until I found a plastic bottle to decant into.

Were they taking cans off folk?

Not sure, all we had was bottles.

Climbing over a fence at a free festie. Whatever next. (actually I think we found a back way in, but it was going to be the fence for a while there. )

damn, forgot about this one... :(

Will go to Finsbury Park instead, as it's a lot nearer (and we'll be cycling).

I was going to go to this as it's just down the road, but then I saw the line-up for Rise. Maybe next year.
