Let's talk about money...

Never mind. I came here because a friend had said it would be a good place to have an online discussion about ideas with other activists. Seems like most people here are only interested in brandishing their 'wit', not in developing wisdom, nor in figuring out what to do. Good luck to you.

So you respond by taking your bat and ball and storming off the pitch? It seems to me that you wanted this 'discussion' to go one way: yours. Only one poster on this thread has warmed to you (only because you mentioned some of his favourite key words), the rest have taken you to task for the obvious gaps in your knowledge.

Thats a bit depressing then in my book. But then in my book most of us have gaps in our knowledge. And fair play to eyrie he seems to want to raise an issue thats important. It doesnt mean he has the answers to every question. He probably is not the messiah, maybe hes just another very naughty boy.
Welcome to the club.

Thanks TBaldwin. I thought I'd made the fact that there are gaps in my knowledge fairly clear, and pointed out where they are in an attempt to promote discussion.

For those really interested in this question, I've just found a good page of links of people and organisations trying to figure out what money is and how it can be organised in a way which doesn't promote mass suicide and genocide as happens at the moment. http://www.prosperityuk.com/prosperity/links/links.html
There are groups and people here approaching the question from a variety of different perspectives, and with different solutions.

From the horse's (or rather the rider's) mouth:
"Permit me to issue and control the money of a nation and I care not who makes its laws." - Mayer Amschel Rothschild

Thanks.
Me im a bit ignorant about economic matters ( and generally really) So welcome any discussion on economic matters. I suppose that these boards are full of people who regard the present economic system as badly unjust.
But very few of us really have an idea of what would work in its place..in a detailed way anyway....
Hope you wont let the more dogmatic people on here stop you posting.
