That's why people - myself included - have said something along the lines of "the crap they're calling r'n'b nowadays".

Obviously anyone who wants to lump Ray Charles in with the Pussycat Dolls is just bonkers.
 
R&B, speshally where the vocals go all pointlessly warbly up and downy...makes me wanna bolt gun meself EVERY time.

The REAL Beat are still 'The Beat' to most people, and played as such in the summer ... :cool:
