Lets laugh at Chris Coleman thread!

No thats the 1st premiership team we've beaten IIRC . We beat Wimbledon the season after they got relegated in an FA cup run then lost 2-1 to Liverpool* and we were half way to beating a premiership team this time last year untill Villa decided to turn a 3-1 half time lead for wycombe into a 3-9 loss at full time !

*in the semi finals

You seem to forget a certain match vs Leicester City.

Weren't they struggling in the bottom league when he bought them . Poor Fulham now they don't have the money to compete with big boys :(

Maybe I could lend them a tenner or something !

Message to Savage Henry and Tom A that maybe you should get your facts right before talking about stuff you dont know about.

Fayed bought FFC the season after we'd just been promoted from the basement division under Mickey Adams. Adam produced a very decent side on a shoe string who would have went up to better things. We had Sean Davies, Mick Conroy, Simon Morgan and many other good players and things were looking bright for the first time in years.

As for struggling with the big boys now? Really? I think you may be wrong on that one too but dont lets facts get in the way.

Coleman was right our second string should have beaten Wycombe but they didn't. Well played Wycombe.

I wasn't sure what situation Fulham were in when Al Fayed bought them , but they did get promotion to the Premier League fairly quickly after he did get involved so you can't say his money didn't help .

He was right but he shouldn't really have said it because he's made himself look stupid ! If the team were good enough to win then surely it's his poor motivatioon/tactics that led to the loss !

Were Leicester in the Premier legue then ? I thought they were still championship then ? Perhaps I should have said the first non-shit premiership team wycombe have beaten :p

100% right and is very often the case with him. Many FFC fans would like him replaced for this reason alone.

We were in the top half of the premiership then, in fact, for most of October we were top of the prem!

No of course not. Including that Adams promotion season, we went from the basement to Prem in 5 years I think. That is obviously an amazing achievement but we would be deluded to believe it was down to anything other than Fayed's wedge.

Ask any (long term) Fulham fan and they will tell you the best season during that run was winning promotion from the basement division under Mickey Adams as that was real Fulham. We got 11,000 at home to Northampton that season and were taking 2,500 up to places like Carlise. It really felt like Fulham were back and were gonna go on to great things. All before Al Fayed came to town. The events since then have been enjoyable no doubt but purely down to money which takes away a lot of the pride. Try telling that to a Chelsea fan though.
