i love the quo
while solid as a rock was a crock of shite, they did write some amazing songs - california soul being one, iirc.
a shame they're tight arses though. i've never had a celeb landlord, though my brother once lodged with david sainsbury...
Have just watched this, it's made me so maudlin....the sex, the drugs, the rock n roll. Great, heady days.
Saw the Quo a few times, I think, original line up. Liked Piledriver, Hello and Quo. Must get Piledriver and Quo again.
What a great atmosphere at their gig's, straight down, no nonsense, denim clad rock.
Bring on the skating vicars.
BBC iPlayer - Hello Quo
One of my earliest clear memories is the Quo on TOTP with blokes in the audience with long hair and cardboard guitars headbanging away
The best thing about this thread is it's exactly the same now as it always was
does this bump count as a status update?
Does this count as a status quote?
Same birthday as me, Francis Rossi.
Don't look bad for seventy, do I?
That's a status quip
don't push your luck
I look a bit too much like yer man for comfort. Must get a haircut.
On the programme I watched, Rick Parfitt came across as a really top bloke, cept for the fact at the end of the programme he was wearing lots of blingy clothes; not quite the denim we all associate with them. Since this thread was started, Rick has sadly been lost to a heart attack.
Had to play my only Quo album this afternoon. Twice
First band on at Live Aid. I used to play Quo and ZZ Top covers in my first band.
Technically the first band on was the Coldstream Guards
I fucking knew someone would say that!!
i see what you did there.
I always found Francis Rossi quite attractive Man got charisma.
Not a fan of the quo but I do like some of their early stuff when they had the short hair and suits, so wasn't best pleased when I found out they were supporting queen at their wembly gig but it ended up being the second best gig experiance I've had, a stadium floor full of strangers bonding over the joy of rocking out and i was definatly not the only non quo fan caught up in the fun, still makes me smile thinking about it.
