Let's hear it for The Quo!

I had Ashford and Simpson of "Solid as a Rock" fame as my landlords once. They were right tight arses.
while solid as a rock was a crock of shite, they did write some amazing songs - california soul being one, iirc.

a shame they're tight arses though. i've never had a celeb landlord, though my brother once lodged with david sainsbury...

Have just watched this, it's made me so maudlin....the sex, the drugs, the rock n roll. Great, heady days.
Saw the Quo a few times, I think, original line up. Liked Piledriver, Hello and Quo. Must get Piledriver and Quo again.
What a great atmosphere at their gig's, straight down, no nonsense, denim clad rock.

Bring on the skating vicars.

BBC iPlayer - Hello Quo

On the programme I watched, Rick Parfitt came across as a really top bloke, cept for the fact at the end of the programme he was wearing lots of blingy clothes; not quite the denim we all associate with them. Since this thread was started, Rick has sadly been lost to a heart attack. :(
Had to play my only Quo album this afternoon. Twice :)

Not a fan of the quo but I do like some of their early stuff when they had the short hair and suits, so wasn't best pleased when I found out they were supporting queen at their wembly gig but it ended up being the second best gig experiance I've had, a stadium floor full of strangers bonding over the joy of rocking out and i was definatly not the only non quo fan caught up in the fun, still makes me smile thinking about it.
