Yeah loads, but not much stuff that's just a man and a guitar - I've got all four Nick Drake albums though!
If you can listen to Way to Blue you can listen to everything Cohen has wrote.

I agree the music's most important. But if one gets in the way of the other, then one or other hasn't worked! But one thing always gets in the way of the other - the music or the lyrics, so I always favour the music cos that's what got me listening before anyone opened their mouth
This is why I prefer electronic music - you don't have to worry about all that - you just dig the textures
It isn't really a worry. It works like this: "I don't like that music. Whether it has lyrics or not".This is why I prefer electronic music - you don't have to worry about all that - you just dig the textures
Oh Jesus, yes. But the question was crap or not crap. And he is absolutely not crap.He is a hundred floors below Hank Williams in the tower of song though.

I'm sorry, I was thinking about doughnuts when I replied.I was trying to be clever with a reference to his 'Tower of Song'.![]()

youve never heard hallelujah by jeff buckley?
I prefer the Nick Cave version, have you heard it?

Bob Dylan, Joan Baez and Leonard Cohen are in an aeroplane which is spiralling out of control....BANG!...three dead hippies. Fucking A1. Top piloting.
Hank would be far far better if he didn't wear a fucking cowboy hat and do that yodeling thing.
....

No one read any of his books, Spice Box Of Life(poetry),

I've just been listening to his Live in London album. Didnt' seem worth a new thread, but it did seem worth posting - no new songs I think but the best live album I've heard for years![]()
