Leonard Cohen is coming to the UK.

I got a ticket! Something like £48 & it's an outdoor gig in July! Plus I get to stay on a boat after the gig cos it's kind of far away from houses.

Sorry, but 75 quid x 20,000 people  that's a fucking ridiculous retirement sum! And that's just the takings from the 02!

Shame on you Leonard! *bangs on screen*

*rattles keyboard*

But I'm happy :)

Less the tour costs and tax of course. :D

And less the promoter's cut, the agent's 10-15%, and his manager's 12%.

I'm not saying he won't get a nice little earner from this but he will be lucky to see 20% of the 1.5 million (minus booking fees) ticket revenue.

ah shit - have all the tickets sold out?

the website says 'tickets on sale soon'

they sold out pretty much straight away for manchester, london a bit less quicky, but i think O2 release more tickets every so often possibly? but try Dublin and Edinburgh, or even the europe ones.

People don't necessarily realise that bands have to hire out venues...

Obviously I'd have preferred a nice intimate venue (eg Bush Hall!) but that wasn't much of an option, I'm guessing.

Transport, accommodation, venue, management et al, tax. Lot of people taking a bite out of the cherry. :D

I'm seeing him at the Big Chill. I'm awfully middle class though. It's how I roll

Cheer up Len, the pimms is delightful
