I'm not saying we should have won it or anything, just that it was pretty finely balanced at 2-1, and the only reason you got the 3rd was that we were chasing the last gasp equaliser by throwing pretty much all 11 men into attack, with even Caspar trying to work out which box he was meant to be in. It probably was more likely that you'd hit us on the break than us scoring, but we also have several players capable of putting them away in that situation as well, so it was worth a punt.
The stats confirm my memory of it being much closer than you make out. Though you did always have the upper hand, we were in with a decent shout all the way through til your 3rd goal in extra time
Defoe was the difference on the night, and even he only showed his class in flashes - shame he scored in all 3 flashes - other than him you were pretty ordinary IMO.
