Leeds was pretty good i thought, fires in the main stage area were hilarious. The effort it must have taken to drag those massive bins and stage barriers to the middle of those fires. Bands were ok, good weather luckily.

although i've heard estimates of up to 25 i rekkon there were about 15 green wheelie bins and 3 big red biffa bins on the main fire. at one point we were stood by a trader and a bloke ran up obv looking for a bin . . . looking so intently for a bin that he misssed the huge catering gas cannister next to it.
the really stupid part was that the fire was burning for at least two hours before anybody noticed it and once we finally rang it in they said they were monitoring it on CCTV. and all this the time it was really burning there were 200 AP security standing in the pit watching it.
nah, it's because festivals are more fashionable than they were nine years ago and young people have easier access to credit than they did then. I was at uni nine years ago and hardly any of us had credit cards, we all had to save up for ages if we wanted to buy festival tickets
