I like it rolled in oatmeal and fried with bacon. Cockles I prefer with lemon and black pepper in brown bread. Penclawdd cockles, if you can still get them. There was a guy who used to come from Penclawdd every year to the Lambeth Country Show to sell cockles but I've not seen him for years. Penclawdd has the best cockles on the the planet.

I do miss those. Maybe we should get wow to ship us a food parcel
