But it isn't the same as working for AFP or anyone like that its more akin to working for TASS in the days of the Cold War or the New China News Agency today. Its the fact that Iranian entities are state owned that makes it such a worry for exporters from the UK. what may seem an innocent manufacturing entity is probably diverting goods to end up in missles lobbed at Israel or for terrorism elsewhere.

I don't have a problem with breaking UK/US sanctions personally, as long as what's exported is for peaceful and humanitarian purposes.

I recall that some folk did this sort of work in Iraq up to the beginning of the invasion and an associate of mine organises shipments of medical aid and so on to the Palestinians.

Good on them for taking humanitarian action, especially when it breaks UK/US sanctions.
