doesn't surprise me, it's another attempt by the Mean Fiddler to 'manufacture' an atmosphere, a 'vibe', at a festival. They always get it wrong and they're always underattended.

thanks for the link:D ...ill check it out later ,have to leave the house in a sec..

im not suprised they havent sold all that many tickets cos well there are SO many new festivals springing up and they arent cheap/free/non-commercial ones(as contrasted with say glasto where profits go to greenpeace) either which is sad.
i think there are now just too many festivals for the audience that exists.i think there is a bit of a backlash too around the rising entry costs. big chill hasnt even sold out yet and that is one of the popular ones..
latitude is a brand one with no really big names, and seems somewhat arty in focus with the emphasis on performance/literature..which is my justication for going oh and the location seemed great..i doubt it will sell out tho..

im stewarding there for oxfam(in exchange for ticket so just working a few shifts) so im arriving VERY early (next wed 12th in fact)im hoping some other steawrds have wheels so we can check out the coast:cool:

if anyone from urban going wants to meet PM me

p.s. note to dubversion..im no fan of vince power either;) ...hahahaha i agree with yr point..but it cant be as bad as phoenix fest back in the 90s(no i didnt go, just heard it was no glastonbury)
as someone working there, the fewer punters the better for me

As shit as Phoenix was - and i went three times (never as a punter, mind ;) ) it did at least have a fantastic line-up, so if you ignored the pretensions to be a Midlands Glastonbury, there was so much to do. Latitude is looking for some kind of Hay On Wye / Edinburgh / Glastonbury / ATP crossover, and it just doesn't add up.

I'm sure there will be none of the riots that marred Phoenix though. Maybe a few people grumbling into their cava.. ;)

I'm not sure what latitude will be like, but I will report back just for dubversion! :)

I know its mean fiddler n that, but I wanted to go to a festival this year (well all of them) and its what you make of it anyway.

Bearbot, keep a look out for a pinhead geordie who will no doubt be stoned and wandering about perplexed!
