yes, comrades. It's that time again.. The People's Republic Of Disco collective are about to take their summer break (usually full of festival commitments but we've been a bit slack this year.. :( )

So the next People's Republic of Disco - on Saturday May 27th - will be the last of the summer, indeed the last until late September.

April's night was, I'm sure you'll agree, an absolute blinder, so we're hoping May's will top that, giving you all a good send-off until the Autumn.

We're still considering a mid-summer allnighter but recent events at the Red Star may have scuppered that a little - we'll let you know when we do.

Anyway, see you all there. :)

Except I won't cos I'll be up Norf getting scared in the house on my own because my whole family left for the weekend I picked to visit

So now is the time for you all to bring your worst records and annoy Dub with them :)

Actually last month's was a lovely lovely lovely atmosphere - heralding the start of summer in mood if not actual weather. I am sad I won't be around to have a dance :(

slacker.

i'll be there. hopefully i will have moved in that day and i will really really happy and have ALL my records at home to choose from and be able to pick THE track of the night.

or else i'll be shattered and covered in dust.

Pah! That's a shame. I think you should do some PRODs over summer. At this rate everything's gonna be closed down.

well, i hope to have BF up and running then so you'll have somewhere else to go to complain about the music ;)

fraid not - we've done benefits for the server fund and stuff like that, and we run it on a shoestring. it's only £2.50 for god's sake.

Oh, ok. Problems with my income due to ill-health means that every penny counts right now. So £2.50 for gods sake can make a difference.

Yeah. - the George and Dragon in Hackney Rd's a decent place aswell.. in fact it has just about the perfect music policy.. ;) :D

oh yes. PRoD is glory.

Now then, I have to drive to leatherhead on sunday morning, pick up my sister's three kids and the drive them to north oxfordshire for a family party (where i can go to sleep).

What say...? booze or coke...? ;)

Beyond Fathomability. You remember Bluestreak and friend's mental mashup set at the Nu-Urban party? Like that only more so.
Cheers treefrog, I do remember that, think there was a bit of pink panther... will keep my eye out for when it's on :)

you think you've got problems? i've got a 7 hour coach journey to fucking Newcastle after leaving PROD at, what, 3am? and doubtless rocking up somewhere else after

are you driving the coach? are you responsible for the safe delivery of three quarters of my parents' grandchildren? no?

didn't think so...:p

I shall be there. Prodibly.

Wondering if my cash will last though...The Selecter gig Friday night, am out this weekend, but I shall if I can. :)

I've deferred paying a bill and foregone tube travel this month to make it more likely. Thus I have deferred a £50 pyt til next month and have saved £70 at the cost of an extra 25 mins journey each way each day (45 minute walk instead of 20 mins tube journey). Such sacrifice! Will probably drink it all this weekend!
