Fuck it, there's nothing too embarassing there :)

This thread has reminded me that I've not plugged in the scrobbler to my new laptop yet, so I should do that toot sweet.

Any last.fm subcribers out there?

I left my laptop on overnight playing an album on repeat by accident, totally messed with my stats! :rolleyes:

I'm not sure I understand the question. Is it: "Why would you rather use LastFM than MySpace?"?

The answer to that is that they're totally different things. LastFM makes recommendations based on what music you play. It is a good way of finding out about music you might like, based on your actual taste.

:D It's a bit more sophisticated than that, and it can be fine-tuned as you go. But suit yourself; I like it, but you might not. :cool:

Actually, I might try it, I've got a friend who bangs on non stop, just waiting for a laptop that's not in the stone age, scroteling (sic?) sounds like a memory hog.:cool:
 
I've got a last.fm account but haven't used it for a while. Think I might have removed the software. You still got the paid account danny?
 
thing is last.fm website is very clunky and slowloading.
also the radio stations don't stream that well and the flash loads slow, so although they sold up and got shit loads of money invested they haven't done enough to streamline the user experience, - that is why I hardly ever visit last.fm anymore

Until you've played some ten thousand tracks thru it it is a bit random but it settles down after that. When you've just played a few the statistical significance for any choice is so low you only get dead obvious stuff.
