Last ever series of ER

I love ER...at various points I have had a crush on Kovach (sp) and Carter but in the end Carter won my affection.

I can feel my blood pressure rising when I'm watching it and always end sat bolt upright rather than my usually supine position on the sofa. I love it especially when they say 'bag 'im'.

It is amazing to see Noah Whatsit age throughout the series. He really did go from being newly-grown-boy cute to handsome to a little bit extra-chinny and thinning on top. Imagine spending your whole early-adulthood, proper prime of life on one show like that? Not being nasty, like. I've certainly got older myself, a bit

Kovach is bare knee-weakeningly handsome, but they put him about a bit too much. Everytime one comes across a repeat he's with different woman.

Oh, and the bit where Benton did his Kung Fu punch in the opening credits. I liked that. But they took it out and i stopped watching.

Yeah, they flogged her alcohiloism to death which was a shame. Used it to excuse all sorts of stuff, not least shagging Stanley Tucci which meant he wasn't in it anymore. Why bring in an amazing actor then stirp him, shag him and kick him out the door? Waste of talent.

Speaking of which - Alan Alda

Was he as good as he was when starring in M*A*S*H?

Wish they'd put that on telly again.

Oh boy oh boy - the Ray Liotta Award Winning Death Episode? ALmost as good as Star Trek Tin Whistle Award Winning Episode for proper teary amazing telly

Ray Liotta is a brilliant actor, but hasn't made anything yet that was better than his turn in Goodfellas, IMHO.

This ^

Best bit ever was when Romano got his arm chopped off by the helicopter. Totally unexpected, made me go proper cold.

And when he finally got squished flat by another helicopter and looked up and said 'No!' like it just shouldn't happen that way. Brrr

I used to watch it religiously back then, and these days whenever I catch an episode I still enjoy it. Think I'll watch the final series from start :)

oh, I missed last night's lol, will check 4 On Demand

So very sad :(. I didn't get teary last night, I must admit (although for the last 3 episodes with Dr Greene, I cried my eyes out :D!) just cause I didn't get so invested in the last like 5 series like I used to. With the exception of the last few series, I've been watching E.R. since I was about 9 years old and will be sad to see it go. But Pratt was such a neat character :'(.

I loved Romano so much.
Now I love Morris.

I don't understand what's going on with Luka at the moment. Are they going to just keep mentioning him but never show him?

Don't know about Luka but I had got very tired of his moping.

Just watched the 1st episode and have cried my eyes out...really wasn't expecting that. Leaves me asking does Morris know what he is doing..:hmm:

No discussion on last night?

What's with introducing FIVE(!) new characters in the very last series of the show? Seems a little excessive, although I guess if they are going to kill off any more regulars before the season ends, they're going to need someone to keep showing up to work - although Wikipedia seems to suggest that apart from a final appearance by Abby & Luka next week, there are no more cast exits.

Also, is it just me, or does Gates remind anyone else of Hawkeye Pearce?

Well they have to introduce new interns, as that happens every year. I'm trying to work out where I know the new cheif lady from... she looks very familiar :hmm:

That's Angela Bassett! She was Tina Turner in that film. And she's been in loads of other stuff. She's a bit scary. I like those scary ladies in ER. She's the new Carrie. Do you think her husband and son died in the tsunami? That's my theory

Ahhhh... thank you! :o

I reckon they might've done.. it'll all come out and she'll turn out to be a big softie. Do you remember the cake the had when carrie had a day off? :D

Used to love ER but stopped watching when Ray rock doctor got his legs cut off simply for loving Neela  That whole storyline was wholly unsatisfactory and badly handled.
