    Hi everyone

I am writing a book on Lambeth in the 1980s, foucussing on the politcs of the borough but also aspects of wider society. It is part political history, part social history

If anyone can help with the following questions please email me on radical.lambeth@gmail.com (also if you have any photos or political/historical materials from that time please get in touch!)

Was anyone at the Red Wedge tour at Brixton Academy? Circa 1986/7
Was anyone around for the 1986 riots after the shooting of Cherie Groce?
Was anyone involved in the anti-poll tax campaign of 1989-1991?
Was anyone involved in any political or social campaigns during the 1980s? (Black rights, squatting, LGBT, etc)
Was anyone involved in the Labour Party between 1978-1991?
Was anyone involved in any counter cultural scenes?

I have a website at radicallambeth.wordpress.com and Radical Lambeth is on Facebook. My book should be coming out in 2019.

Neither I, nor any other Urban 75 poster, was involved with the 1986 riots, officer.

It's a bit rubbish that you've got ads on that site but anyway - Brixton squats - we celebrate some of Brixton's finest squats, Cooltan, 121 Centre etc

the anti-poll tax campaign lasted beyond 1991

the last year of the poll tax was 1993-94, and councils were still trying to collect it many years later.

Ha! Yes fair enough. I wondered if people had been hanging around the streets when it happened... When did Corbyn say recently about his trip to Tunisia? I was there but I didn't participate.

Good point, if people come forward with more information and actual accounts of their experiences then it can be extended.
